Gregory is working through Lambda’s curriculum while learning Linux and how to live stream at the same time. He was part of WEB19, which is a full-stack track, but changed cohorts to WEB20 in order to retake JavaScript and gain a stronger foundational understanding so he could more thoroughly learn React, Redux, frameworks, libraries and other technologies that build on JavaScript.
Its interesting to see how students move from one cohort to another in order to solidify their understanding of topics at Lambda. There doesn’t seem to be a stigma around it at all – it seems to even be encouraged to make sure that students leave the course with a solid understanding of each topic that’s explored. If anything, it might even end up being an advantage, because the person who transfers actually meets more people and makes more contacts amongst students going through the course as well as the teachers and other support personnel serving them.
